ABOUT ME
Kaitlyn is currently a student at Shoreline Community College studying photography and Graphic design. She has also earned a B.A. in Recreation from Western Washington University.
Kaitlyn started with traditional studio art including drawing and painting. She started to come into my own as an artist, when she learned how to use charcoal from her private art teacher Janet Lia, while in high school. It was a turning point that helped her see that she could make realistic portraits. Over the years, she has learned how to use other mediums and techniques from Janet to bring out the most of the subjects in her art. Kaitlyn still takes lessons with her currently to hone in her skills.
Kaitlyn creates her photographic works in both film and digital processes, as she believes each has a different experience in creating. She loves using her knowledge in art to create appealing compositions in her photography. She has also used her own photography for references for her art.
